New Christchurch and Canterbury Tourism director appointed

New CCT director appointed
Prominent South Island hotel industry leader, Scott Wallace has been appointed a director of Christchurch & Canterbury Tourism.
Board chairman Paul Bingham welcomed Mr Wallace’s appointment, saying the board would benefit from his experience, skills and knowledge of the hotel industry, in particular.
Scott Wallace is Director of Operations, South Island, Millennium Hotels & Resorts New Zealand (MCK). Previously he has been regional chair of the New Zealand Hotel Association and was instrumental in leading the association’s emergency response and recovery operations following the February 2011 earthquake.
Mr Wallace replaces former InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) South Island general manager Blair Roxborough who has moved to Melbourne to take up a new appointment as IHG's general area manager for Victoria.
