Fashion Flavours at Cloudy Bay’s NZFF Designer Olive Bar

27th February 2012

Fashion Flavours at Cloudy Bay’s NZFF Designer Olive Bar

In true pioneering spirit, Cloudy Bay has partnered with two highprofile New Zealand fashion designers to create the ultimate winter accessory, at one of the official on-site bars during New Zealand Fashion Festival.

The designers of top fashion labels COOP and moochi have come together with Jamie Miller from Mint Kitchen and crafted a unique olive flavouring that brings to life the Festival’s ‘fresh’ theme and matches the texture and hues that Cloudy Bay wines are famous for.

Set in the contemporary chic dining room of Jamie Miller’s James Restaurant in Parnell, the designers sipped on Cloudy Bay wine and carefully sampled variations of marinated olives to come up with their final creation – a stunning orange, cardamom and vanilla flavour.

This stylish touch for NZ festival-goers will be a complimentary gesture with every glass of Cloudy Bay purchased. The one-off tasting experience launches today, the same evening that both designers showcase their collections. Available until Friday 2nd of March, the Cloudy Bay Designer Olive Bar is located at the centre of all the action in Shed 10 on Queens Wharf.

About Cloudy Bay: Located in the Marlborough region of New Zealand, Cloudy Bay is blessed with a unique terroir where a cool, maritime South Pacific climate produces wines of great fruit intensity.

They have long been known for our Sauvignon Blanc wines and also produce notable Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and other whites – putting New Zealand on the international wine map for 25 years.

More about the collaborating designers: About moochi: The brainchild of Kellie and Chris Taylor, moochi is a boutique New Zealand women's fashion brand that launched in 2000. The name moochi was created to describe the clothes you want to wear, it is all about looking and feeling amazing - mooching in style.

About COOP: Lauren Connolly and Alexandra Dunn are faces behind the label launched in 2011.

Garments are both sexy and relaxed, exploring texture, shape, colour and print. Signature touches of leather and metal wrap up the young, streetwise vibe.
