Relationships Aotearoa - Helping New Zealanders for over 60 years

From today Relationship Services Whakawhanaungatanga will be known as Relationships Aotearoa.

Our services have diversified since we began as Marriage Guidance over 60 years ago, says Relationships Aotearoa Chief Executive, Jeff Sanders.

“In those days, as our name suggested, we just worked with married couples. Our work has evolved over time to now offering a range of services for individuals, couples and families.

“There has been confusion over our name in recent years, with several different versions used so we have adopted a new name, Relationships Aotearoa, with a new logo that better reflects the diverse nature of our work, the fact that we are a national organisation and our commitment to working biculturally,” says Jeff Sanders.

“Our phone number (04 472 8798) remains the same. Our website address has changed to www.relationshipsaotearoa.org.nz. Our email addresses now include Aotearoa.”

Relationships Aotearoa is New Zealand’s largest provider of professional counselling and relationship education, assisting over 35,000 people each year and working in over 70 communities throughout the country. It is a not-for-profit organisation providing affordable services for individuals, couples and families. Relationships Aotearoa has expertise in couple counselling, working with Māori, individual and family therapy, working with violence and abuse, youth at risk, and workplace issues.
