Parsons Brinckerhoff relocates to heart of Auckland’s business district
Mayor of Auckland, Mr Len Brown today opened the new Parsons Brinckerhoff Office in Zurich House, Queen Street.
Speaking at the opening Mayor Brown said that this was a clear indication of Parsons Brinckerhoff’s commitment to the region.
“This new office in the heart of Auckland’s transport network is perfectly positioned to assist Parsons Brinckerhoff to achieve its vision of becoming a leading provider of professional services to the transport and power sectors in New Zealand.
“It’s adjacent to the Britomart Rail, Bus and Ferry terminals and also located at the central point of future development in the Auckland CBD,” said Mayor Brown.
Parsons Brinckerhoff’s regional director New Zealand Derek McCoy said that this was clearly another step in realising the firm’s regional plan for New Zealand.
“There were many factors that influenced the selection of this location, particularly being in the Auckland CBD and very close to the commercial centre.
“This is where many of our clients are based, so being centrally located makes it easier for our clients as well as for our staff living across the Auckland region,” said Mr McCoy.
Parsons Brinckerhoff’s projects include Te Mihi Power Station; Auckland CBD Rail Link; Victoria Park Tunnel; Ngaruawahia section of the Waikato Expressway; Christchurch Bus exchange; and as a part of the Well-Connected Alliance with NZTA, Fletcher Construction, McConnell Dowell Constructors, Obayashi Corporation, Beca Infrastructure, and Tonkin & Taylor which was chosen to construct the Waterview project.
