FINZ 2012 Conference Programme Includes Networking Opportunities and More Than 20 Workshops
Wellington, 1 February 2012 – The Fundraising Institute of New Zealand (FINZ) invites members and non-members alike to join us at the 2012 FINZ Conference, the definitive annual professional development event for those in the charity and not-for-profit sectors. The event will be held 10 – 12 May at the Waipuna Hotel in Auckland, with the conference centring on the theme of “consolidation” and the accompanying imagery inspired by Auckland's majestic volcanoes.
The 2012 FINZ Conference is an unparalleled opportunity for attendees to learn from the sector's leading figures. The programme features international keynote speakers, including plenary speaker Stephen Pidgeon of the UK, one of the world's foremost authorities on direct-response marketing and not-for-profit fundraising. Other speakers include world-renowned Palmerston North-based Dr Rom Rudzki (winner of the Financial Times David Thomas Award), leading USA-based fundraising guru Sandy Rees and James Greenfield, who has more than 40 years’ of experience fundraising in the sector.
The Thursday of the conference is dedicated to four Master Classes. The conference proper, which will be held on the Friday and Saturday, will feature more than 20 sessions including workshops and “Table Talk” discussions. During all three days, participants will benefit from gaining in-depth knowledge they can immediately begin applying to their work.
On Friday night, FINZ will hold the black-tie Fundraising Awards Dinner to recognise those who embody outstanding fundraising practice in New Zealand and FINZ's support of best practice in the sector. The Awards Dinner, the conference's most-anticipated event, will feature a notable keynote speaker who will be revealed closer to the date.
Trade exhibitors will be onsite, providing attendees a chance to learn more about products and services that can benefit their organization.
Registration is now open at: www.finz.org.nz/conference. FINZ, Fundraising Institute Australia and PRINZ members are able to take advantage of a discounted rate when registering for the conference.
