Branding and social marketing specialist joins Ultrafast Fibre Ltd team
Brett Morris has been appointed to the newly created position of Marketing Manager at Ultrafast Fibre Ltd, based in Hamilton.
Ultrafast Fibre is the local fibre company responsible for building the 3000kilometre, coasttocoast fibre network which will bring ultrafast broadband to the cities of Hamilton, Tauranga, Wanganui, Hawera, Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Tokoroa and New Plymouth.
Mr Morris has nine years experience in marketing and communications, most recently working with Telecom NZ leading the company’s Digital Communications and Social Media Portfolios.
He ran two of the most successful social media campaigns in New Zealand: lifting Telecom NZ’s Facebook fans from 3,000 to 37,000 in 2011; and managing the BackingBlack digital campaign during the Rugby World Cup in 2011.
Mr Morris’ successful campaigns earned him a finalist position in both the 2010 Yahoo!NZ Digital Strategy Awards and the 2011 Axis Awards for Online Advertising.

From 2006 through 2008, Mr Morris worked in London as an Account Director with ad agency, BURN Marketing. His portfolio of work included highprofile brands, O2 and eBay.
Brett Morris is originally from Te Awamutu and earned a BMS (Hons) in Marketing and International Management and Human Resource Management from University of Waikato.
