Telecom Board commences CEO search

MEDIA RELEASE

13 December 2011

Telecom Board commences CEO search

Telecom’s Board has today announced that it has commenced the recruitment process for a new CEO.

Current CEO Paul Reynolds signalled in August 2011 that he intended to step down once Telecom was successfully established as an independent company post demerger.

“The Board understands the importance of moving rapidly to recruit a new CEO to lead the business forward in a post demerger environment, and to that end has already commenced the CEO recruitment process,” said Telecom Chairman Mark Verbiest. “We will consider internal and external candidates.”

“The board is committed to building on the momentum already generated as Telecom simplifies its business in order to deliver both improved service to customers and good returns to our investors.”
