New SBS Bank
Ferrymead manager announced.
SBS Bank is
pleased to announce that Simon Maule, a born and bred
Cantabrian, has been appointed as the manager of the
Ferrymead branch.
Mr Maule, who has been working in the finance industry for a number of years, said he was looking forward to his new role.
“I’m really excited to lead the enthusiastic and knowledgeable team at the Ferrymead branch.
“They’ve made me feel really welcome already and the atmosphere in the branch is just great.”
After having worked at a finance brokerage for the past nine years, Mr Maule said he was attracted to SBS Bank’s unique structure, which was unlike anything else in the market.
“The fact that we are member and therefore New Zealand owned is extremely important to me as it means our profits stay within our region.
“This benefits not only our members but also many local community groups that we have the pleasure in helping in a number of ways.”
SBS Bank general manager retail Paul Atkinson said Mr Maule would be a valuable asset to SBS Bank and the Ferrymead branch.
“We’re really pleased to welcome Simon to the SBS Bank family. He’s got a wealth of financial and banking knowledge and we know he’s going to make a real difference in Christchurch as our members start to come out of some challenging times.”
Although Mr Maule had only been in the position for a few weeks he was amazed by the community support that SBS Bank received.
“The customers I have already met at the branch are really nice, down to earth people and I’m looking forward to spending a lot more time getting to know them better.
“The level of personal service each customer receives as they walk in the doors is second to none and our team strive to make them feel as welcome as possible.”
