Intergen Dunedin expands into new premises
Dunedin, 30 November 2011 – IT business solutions provider Intergen is experiencing rapid growth in Otago and Southland
and has moved offices into the old distillery premises in North Dunedin to accommodate a larger team.
“We’ve hired a couple of new people this year, including an experienced Business Development Manager, and we are
currently recruiting for two positions in the area of customer relationship management (CRM) solutions and two in
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP),” says Cheryl Adams, General Manager Intergen Dunedin. “Our team just keeps growing
and we needed more space to keep up with the level of expansion.”
“I’m also expecting to hire one or two top graduates at the end of this year. We have close links with both the
University of Otago and Otago Polytechnic, who provide us with quality graduates with skills in the latest technologies.
Intergen’s graduate programme is known for the opportunities it provides to newly qualified professionals to get
hands-on experience from day one, and there is fierce competition for places on the programme.”
The Dunedin branch of Intergen currently employs 10 people to provide business solutions based on Microsoft platforms or
bespoke development on the Microsoft .NET Framework to local customers.
“We have a strong Dunedin team with a vast depth of skills across a range of Microsoft technologies. But we also have
the advantage of being able to draw on the 300 Intergen employees countrywide and bring the skillset of the whole
company into town when we need it.”
Intergen clients in the south include Silver Fern Farms, Otago Polytechnic, Delta, Calder Stewart, Real Journeys and
Port Otago.
“Our clients are looking to run their businesses more efficiently, and our strength lies in offering business
applications that facilitate this. As well as CRM, and information distribution and collaboration projects, we’re
expecting significant interest in Microsoft Office 365 this year from small and medium businesses.”
The new office building is the old Wilson’s Willowbank Distillery premises, which was altered by Gary Todd Architecture
in 2008. The office maintains its heritage roots with bluestone walls and original features, but has a modern, open plan
office feel with a touch of Intergen yellow.
Originally founded in Wellington, Intergen has expanded across Australasia and now employs over 300 people in Auckland,
Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Sydney, Perth and Redmond, USA.
