The Palms Christmas Gift of Groceries for a Year
With less than five weeks until Christmas, Kiwi families are busy preparing for the yuletide occasion and The Palms is thrilled to spread more festive cheer by offering shoppers a Christmas gift too big for Santa’s sack - a chance to win a year’s worth of groceries.
Arguably the most anticipated event in the calendar, Christmas is often the most challenging and stressful time of the year. According to a recent survey conducted by AMP Capital Shopping Centres, 27% of Christchurch respondents listed ‘grocery shopping’ as a contributor of stress during the Christmas period.
The Palms is helping to minimise that stress and continue its support for the local community with the ‘Free Groceries for a Year’ initiative. Worth $10,000, the competition runs from Saturday 26 November to Wednesday 21 December and is proudly supported by Countdown at The Palms.
The Palms shopping centre manager Keryn Ward says, “We are excited to present the ‘Free Groceries for a Year’ campaign to the community, to support and give something back to our customers, especially at Christmas time.”
With only a few weeks of preparation left, there are some measures families can take to help manage the wallet and ensure Christmas dinner is fit for the finest of palates. Adding a few extra items to the grocery list each week is one way to steadily build up stock in the pantry and freezer, and avoid a large bill right on Christmas week.
Every customer who spends more than $50 at any store at The Palms, between Saturday 26 November and Wednesday 21 December, is eligible to enter. The more you shop, the more you can enter for the chance to win a year’s worth of groceries to the value of $10,000 from Countdown, The Palms.
