New Look for Official New Zealand Music Chart
The RIANZ Official NZ Top 40 Music Chart has a new look and a new online home.
Launching on 9 November, the all new Official NZ Chart website – www.nztop40.co.nz – is set to become an important new music portal for fans of chart music.
The weekly Top 40 singles and album charts are now complete with cover art and user-friendly chart facts, along with the ability to see, hear and buy individual tracks and albums. Music fans can also join the re-launched Official NZ Music Chart Facebook and Twitter pages for all the latest chart news and artist facts and stats.
Weekly New Zealand artist Top 20 singles and album charts have also been introduced.
RIANZ chart manager Phil Matcham says the site is a great new addition to online music services available to NZ music audiences and the transformed music portal could not have come at a better time.
“Our aim has been to create an interactive hub for music fans to visit each week – where they can listen to and watch their favourite music, share their music discoveries with friends online, as well as buy singles and albums from individual CD retailers and digital download services.
“The other important addition to the chart website is the introduction of weekly NZ artist singles and album charts. These celebrate the success of our homegrown artists and we’re sure they will prove really popular with Kiwi music audiences.
“With download sales at an all-time high, CD sales remaining popular and new ways to consume music, such as streaming, starting to make their mark in this country, these are exciting times for music fans in New Zealand – and we believe the new site reflects this.”
