Senior appointments to drive Skyline Enterprises expansion
A series of senior appointments supports the recent acquisitions and expansion plans of Skyline Enterprises.
The company has named Blair Deasy as General Manager – Totally Tourism Ltd. Blair is currently General Manager, Skyline Queenstown and has held that position for over six years. Totally Tourism, an umbrella company that operates several iconic tourism brands was acquired by Skyline Enterprises in August.
Working with Blair is Kellie Goodwin who will take up the position of Marketing Manager – Totally Tourism Ltd. Kellie is currently Sales Development Manager at Skyline Queenstown and has been with the company for four and a half years.
Following nine years in Skyline’s international Luge operations, Lyndon Thomas moves to Queenstown take up the position of General Manager – Skyline Queenstown. Lyndon comes from five years as GM Skyline Luge Sentosa, Singapore.
Danny Luke has been appointed General Manager Skyline Luge Sentosa following several years working between Skyline Luge Tremblant and Skyline Luge Sentosa including the last three years as General Manager Skyline Luge Tremblant.
Skyline Enterprises CEO Jeff Staniland said the company was delighted to see the progression and development of its senior management personnel.
“The acquisition of the group of tourism companies under Totally Tourism Ltd has presented us with a number of new and exciting challenges.
“In the case of the Totally Tourism appointments, we underwent an extensive, nationwide recruitment process and were so pleased that our existing personnel were identified as the best candidates from a very wide selection. The remaining positions have been filled internally giving our high performing, long serving staff the opportunity to further develop themselves and their careers.”

Skyline Enterprises was established in 1966 and has become a major tourism operator in New Zealand. Skyline Gondola Restaurant and Luge Queenstown was opened in 1967 and upgraded in 1987 and in 2007.
Skyline Skyrides, Rotorua was opened March 1985 and has recently received a complete upgrade to its gondola and building facilities. Both properties have become iconic tourist attractions, providing visitors with picture postcard views, fine dining experiences, and thrills on the Skyline Luge. The Rotorua operation hosts over 400,000 visitors, delivers 730,000 Luge rides and serves 90,000 guests in the restaurant each year.
Globally, Skyline Enterprises has established two offshore Luge operations: Skyline Luge Sentosa (Singapore) and Skyline Luge Mt Tremblant (Canada). The company plans further global operations over the next several years including Skyline Luge Calgary, to be opened in 2013.

Totally Tourism was established in 1999 by Mark and Jackie Quickfall. It was acquired by Skyline Enterprises effective August 31 2011 with a post settlement for a handover period expected to last around 6 months.
