New FranklinCovey programme unlocks extraordinary productivity
Leading New Zealand business training company David Forman today launched global training giant FranklinCovey’s revolutionary programme, The 5 Choices to Extraordinary Productivity, to a Kiwi audience.
Managing director Olivia Blaylock says David Forman is excited to be able to help New Zealand companies unlock their teams’ productivity, which is often suppressed by the chaos of modern communication and difficulties with determining and focusing on key priorities.
“Unfortunately, there is a general lack of understanding in New Zealand about how to achieve productivity, both in business, and in life outside of work. Many of us struggle to meet our goals.
“New Zealanders are officially working longer hours than before, and they work hard, yet many don’t have the skills and tools to increase the value of what they produce by working more effectively and efficiently,” says Olivia Blaylock.
“The tools contained in 5 Choices do not mean people end up working longer hours, or even working harder. In 12 hours, people learn life-changing ways to make the right choices, and how to work smarter.”
She points to the formation of the Government’s Productivity Commission, which reports to the Minister of Finance, as a recognition that a lack of productivity runs deep in New Zealand.
“What person, organisation, or country doesn’t want to be more productive? One that is content to languish in a state of inefficiency and poor performance.”
David Forman delivers business training for many of the country’s biggest corporate and most innovative small companies. Olivia Blaylock says 5 Choices is a major innovation from FranklinCovey, developer of famed programmes such as The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
“The amount of development which goes into a new programme is incredible, and the feedback from overseas is that FranklinCovey has come up with a winning course that results in great outcomes.”
The 5 Choices programme teaches
people how to act on the important, not react to the
‘urgent’; to prioritise effectively so they feel in
control, not at the mercy of crushing work
pressure.
“It’s important to know how to rule
technology, rather than the other way around,” says Olivia
Blaylock.
“Exhausting, high-pressure work environments lead to burn-out – which of course manifests itself in reduced productivity, illness, or even quitting the job.”
Training focused on productivity gives
workers the ability to deal with pressure better, and leads
to increased motivation and satisfaction in and out of work,
she says.
