World conquering entrepreneur at Angel Summit
David Rose is an American serial entrepreneur, 'super angel' investor who has founded or funded over 80 pioneering companies that are helping to define the future. He has been described by BusinessWeek as a "world conquering entrepreneur", by Crain's New York Business as "the father of angel investing in New York", and by Red Herring magazine as "patriarch of Silicon Alley".
Angel Association Executive Director Colin McKinnon said “We are thrilled to have David Rose speak at the Angel Summit in Tauranga next week. “Most angel networks in New Zealand use the Angelsoft deal collaboration platform founded by David.”
From his initial involvement with the first online communities in the 1970s, through founding one of the first personal computer training companies in the 1980s, one of the first wireless data information networks in the 1990s, and the first global angel investing platform in the 2000s, David has been at the forefront of international innovation in business and technology.
As an entrepreneurial executive himself, David is the founder and CEO of Angelsoft, which operates the international standard collaboration platform for startup financing that powers Angel Association New Zealand, and is used by over 35,000 investors from 750 business angel groups and venture capital funds in 65 countries.
“The Angel Summit is the annual event for New Zealand’s leading angel investors. We learned early on that angel investors needed to syndicate deals across all of the New Zealand to be able to get access to the best deals and to build better portfolios.” McKinnon said. The summit provides angel investors with access to the latest international trends and the connection with local investors.
The Angel Summit will be held in
Tauranga on 7-8 November 2011.
