Get Ready To Discover Europe and the World on the Way in Auckland

Statistics show that all international travel from New Zealand in August 2011 is up six percent from the same month last year, and is expected to continue increasing as Kiwi’s continue their love affair with the UK and Europe.

As a result, Flight Centre will again hold the largest travel show in Auckland, on Sunday 13 November with a focus on the UK and Europe.

Flight Centre New Zealand’s executive general manager, Mike Friend, said that despite a slight drop of the New Zealand dollar against the greenback in recent weeks, and the local interest in New Zealand currently, the demand for international travel is still strong.

“A combination of great airfares combined with the steady New Zealand dollar against the Euro and GBP means that Kiwis are still ahead of the game when it comes to international travel,” Mr. Friend said.

Discover Europe will be held at the ASB Showgrounds and will include exclusive flight specials to the UK and Europe, as well as a wide range of specials for destinations all across the globe.
