Local Produce on Awards Dinner Table
Products of the Kapiti-Horowhenua region are to be featured at this year’s regional annual Electra Business Awards presentation dinner.
Awards organiser, Kirsten Kilmister of Scopevents, says with such wonderful products produced within the region, it is most appropriate to feature some. Products from Genoese Pestos, Kapiti Artisan Breads, Kapiti Olive Oil, Koru Ice, Ohau Gravels Wine, Sopranos Limoncello, Tuatara Brewery and Turk's chicken have all been built into the menu.
One of the highlights of the region’s social calendar, the dinner is to be staged at Paraparaumu’s Southwards Theatre on Friday 4th November. It is the first time in a number of years that the presentations are to be made over dinner served at formally set tables in that theatre. The last one there, two years ago, was cocktail style in the foyer following a theatre-type awards ceremony. The dinner style has been the preferred setting for past presentations in Levin.
Tickets for the dinner, to be fronted by New Zealand entertainer, Mark Wright, are selling to expectation. Chair of the awards organisation, Tony Rush, says there are
always a few tickets still available at this stage of the selling cycle, but he expects a rush as those wanting to attend realise there is not much more time left.
Tickets can be booked on-line at www.electra.co.nz/businessawards or by emailing kirsten@scopevents.co.nz .
