Parnell SEO Company Wins the David Business Awards 2011 ‘Most Outstanding Fledgling Business’ Category

From its inception in 2009, Pure SEO has grown from a one man band into one of New Zealand’s most successful online marketing agencies. Now boasting a client base of more than 50 New Zealand and International businesses, including AIA Insurance, The Stamford Corporation, Just Water International and Link Business and a team of 4 full time staff members and 7 contractors.

This week Pure SEO was named as winners of the David Awards most outstanding Fledgling Business, beating fierce competition including the other finalists Pregoli and PA for PTs.

Organiser of the awards, Heather Douglas, says, “The David Awards recognise the unsung heroes in home and small businesses throughout New Zealand, the “Davids” whose tenacity, courage and ingenuity place them firmly at the forefront of entrepreneurship in this country.”

The judging panel of this year’s event – who also comprised Glenn Baker, Pam Martin and Colin Kennedy - were impressed with the consistently high calibre of entries across the board and were especially pleased to see the record number of entries in the Most Outstanding Transitional Business category, which recognises business moving from the start-up phase to maturity.

Richard Conway, owner and managing director of Pure SEO believes their success is down to a simple formula, he says;

“We are in a service industry, therefore we make sure that the service we offer is as good as it possibly could be.

“We always aim to exceed our clients' expectations, giving them better results than they hoped were possible.”

Richard immigrated to New Zealand in early 2009 with his wife. He says he feel privileged to live and work in New Zealand;

“There is no other place in the world I would rather be. The people are friendly and the country is spectacular. I can’t think of anyplace I would rather bring up children than in New Zealand.”

Since his move to New Zealand, Richard has been lucky enough to be involved with The Icehouse (as a resident for another business), Business Mentors New Zealand, Entrepreneurs Organisation and The Auckland City Rotary Club.

Richard says;

“Winning the David Awards has been great, it is a real thank you to my staff, they are the ones that have really made it possible”.
