New Hukafalls Jet Operations Manager Starts amongst Rugby Mania
The Welsh and South African rugby teams have been among the record numbers of people experiencing the Hukafalls Jet in Taupo led by new Operations Manager Michael-Paul Abbott, known as MP.
The Hukafalls Jet team have been enjoying this busy period and are gearing up for another rush as visitors travel between Wellington and Auckland for the next round of games.
MP joins the team after 12 years as a kayak and rafting guide. “I’m looking forward to working with this young, dynamic team who have achieved wonderful results over the past weeks,” he says.
Having been in Taupo since 1999, MP has a real appreciation of the value of tourism to the region. “It’s a stunning destination for international and domestic visitors alike. We are proud to support the great work that Destination Great Lake Taupo does in promoting the region, and particularly the work that went in to host three of the international teams during the tournament.”
When he’s not at the Hukafalls Jet base, MP loves to play golf and hang out with his young children – Grace, 3 and Zach, 1.
