Business Awards Finalists Named for Horowhenua and Kapiti
Fifteen businesses have been named as finalists in this year’s Electra Kapiti Horowhenua Business Awards.
The finalists are: Aura Information Security, Clean Technology Centre Park, Emkay Ltd, Exhale Spa, Horowhenua Chronicle, Horowhenua SuperGrans Inc, Levin New World, Marty’s Panel & Paint, Ohau Playcentre, Prenail Systems Ltd, Quarter Acre Café, Telecom Business Hub Kapiti, Tuatara Brewery, Vista del Sol and Youth Quest. Mark Ternent, Chair of the Kapiti Coast Chamber of Commerce and one of this year’s assessors commented that ““Good businesses lead to local employment growth and healthier Kapiti and Horowhenua communities … and while all of the 2011 Awards entrants are to be congratulated, these are the ones that stood out the most.”
Headed up by Suzanne Snively former partner of PriceWaterhouseCoopers the panel of four judges reviewed the assessors’ reports, the entry material and conducted their own research before confirming the finalists. They are now determining the category winners, BNZ Highly Commended Business of the Year and the ultimate accolade, Electra Business of the Year 2011.
The winners of the twelve categories will be announced at a gala dinner at Southwards Theatre on Friday 4th November. As winner of the 2010 Business of the Year, Aura Information Security is only eligible for the Past Masters Award.
Organiser, Kirsten Kilmister, is encouraging all businesses to attend the function whether they’ve entered the competition or not. “Show your support for your business community and come along to celebrate business success. This is a chance for you to be inspired by what you can do in your own business and with Mark Wright as the MC it will also be an entertaining evening.”
With a reduced ticket price of $99.00 for ‘earlybird sales’ (purchased by the 17th of October) tickets are selling well via www.electra.co.nz/businessawards
