Manager Business Capability and Local Offices appointed

Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) announces the appointment of Smina Vanlerberghe to the position of Manager Business Capability and Local Offices.

Originally from France, Smina has lived in New Zealand for nine years working in Auckland and Christchurch.

Before joining ATEED last month, Smina worked with JB Were as a senior project manager responsible for technology migration, and prior to that as a project manager for NZ Post subsidiary Localist managing production and delivery of its community advertising programme.

In Christchurch Smina worked as a senior consultant for Letstrade International Ltd a company which develops an online trading platform for businesses dealing with goods and services across international markets.

Prior to that Smina owned her own company in the cloud computing industry.

Smina is looking forward to the opportunity of working with Auckland businesses.

“Auckland businesses play a vital role in the region’s economy. I am looking forward to developing the presence of ATEED across the Auckland region and deliver a centre of excellence to support and encourage businesses to develop their potential to grow and discover new export markets,” says Ms Vanlerberghe.

“It is exciting to join ATEED as it looks to transform Auckland’s economy.”

Smina holds an MBA out of the University of Canterbury and a Diploma in Management and Employee Relations from Ireland. She also has a trade certification in Sigma-Lean.
