Warriors fans cross the ditch for NRL grand final

Auckland, 28 September 2011 - Accommodation bookings by Kiwis heading to Sydney to watch the NRL grand final this weekend have doubled on leading accommodation website Wotif.co.nz.

General Manager Wotif Brands, Megan Magill, said since the Warriors beat the Storm on Saturday Sydney bookings made by Kiwis have spiked.

“They haven’t been in a grand final since 2002, so Kiwis are obviously taking advantage of the opportunity to watch the Warriors win their first premiership,” Ms Magill said.

“The good news is Wotif.co.nz rates for this weekend are still really good value.”

“Rates are currently around AU$119 per night, but with demand really high that could change, so anyone still needing to book should get in quick.”
