NZ innovations @ The Cloud series launches today
Works of innovation and creativity will be showcased in the “New Zealand innovations @ The Cloud” series with a different theme each week, beginning today in The Cloud, Queens Wharf, Auckland, with Design Days @ The Cloud.

Sept Design Days @ The Cloud The first exhibition in the
series, with great design and innovation across a range of
creative fields.
3 – 4 Oct Marine @ The
Cloud New Zealand designed vessels and marine stars up close
and personal.
5 – 10 Oct Celebrating
Canterbury Celebrating the Canterbury spirit and innovation
being created in this region.
11 – 13 Oct
We, Robots
Find out what robots can do and watch them
compete in the robotics arena. There’s also a job fair for
those who want to work in the ICT industry.
17 – 18
Oct Film & Landspeed Get up close to a replica Jetblack
Landspeed vehicle, designed by New Zealanders to break world
speed records. Then experience green screen and prosthetics
technologies.
17 – 18 Oct Agribusiness Join us for
a panel discussion about one of our biggest exports, worth
over $1 billion each year
19 – 20 Oct NZ Runway @ The
Cloud
The Cloud plays host to New Zealand’s longest
runway, to showcase current and future fashions from our
internationally acclaimed top designers.
Visitors to The Cloud can participate in panel discussions, view examples of New Zealand innovation, and have opportunities to meet innovators, designers and industry experts.

The series
begins with Design Days @ The Cloud, 26 – 28 September
with several design events:
• Do you have the
oldest piece of Crown Lynn in New Zealand? Bring it along
and have it officially assessed by a ceramic expert today at
5:00pm in The Cloud.
• Join the Whakaara
Design Panel Discussion 5:00pm on Tuesday 27 September
featuring a great line-up of New Zealand design experts
including David Trubridge and Peter Bromhead.
•
Exhibition and displays, including the award-winning
“Folding Whare”, designed by Callum Dowie, and the work
of established and up-and-coming New Zealand designers such
as AUT product design students.
