Mobile ATMS Bring Safe,
Convenient Cash To Customers
ANZ mobile ATMs located
onsite at major events will provide kiwis and overseas
visitors with easy access to their cash in a safe,
controlled environment.
Provided by ANZ Bank, the
innovative mobile ATMs located in a specially fitted
container were trialled at Mystery Creek Field Days in
July.
ANZ Head of ATMs Mark Prestwood said the mobile
ATMs are designed to be easily transported to events around
the country such as concerts, rugby games, and natural
disasters if and when the need arises.
"ANZ has three
operational mobile ATM containers, each with four ATMs,
enabling up to 12 ATM machines to be deployed at one event,
providing a safe and convenient way for people to access
their cash. These ATMs demonstrate our commitment to
bringing service to our customers wherever they are and
whatever they're doing."
To ensure the safety of ATM
customers and their money, leading security provider ADT
Armourguard will provide on the ground security for each
mobile ATM during its hours of operation.
ADT
Armourguard General Manager, Ian Anderson, said the company
was pleased to be working with ANZ on such an
initiative.
"In providing a security service for the
mobile ATMs, our first priority is ensuring the safety of
customers. Accessing cash when and where they need it safely
is of huge value to New Zealanders, and overseas
visitors."
The mobile ATMs are fully self-contained
and self-sufficient with integrated power and
communications. They are able to operate in the event of a
natural disaster such as an earthquake, without relying on
any external infrastructure.
"Satellite communications
technology also enables us to deploy the ATM containers
anywhere in the Asia Pacific region, allowing ANZ to assist
communities outside New Zealand in times of need," Mark
said.
