TravelSIM links with New Zealand Post to make global roaming a breeze

TravelSIM is now available in more than 280 New Zealand PostShop stores throughout the country making its low-cost global roaming service even more accessible to Kiwis travelling overseas.

The prepaid mobile phone service, launched in New Zealand earlier this year, offers substantially lower global roaming charges including calls, texts and data downloads for New Zealand consumers when travelling overseas. Customers can also now enjoy the added benefits of receiving incoming calls for free in 117 countries.

TravelSIM New Zealand CEO, James Currah, says TravelSIM’s deal with New Zealand Post’s nationwide store network means more Kiwis will be able to keep in touch while travelling and avoid the dreaded bill shock from global roaming charges.

“New Zealand Post is a trusted retailer and is used as a one-stop-shop for many Kiwis before heading overseas. Now customers can sort out many of their travel needs including picking up a TravelSIM to dramatically save on roaming costs to make their travel experience even better,” says Mr Currah.

“TravelSIM being a prepaid product gives travellers more control over call and data spending it also offers excellent customer service including a sign-up phone call to ensure the service will work where the customer is travelling and help with set up.”

New Zealand Post Group Payment Services GM Terese Tunnicliffe says TravelSIM gives customers added convenience to be able to access travel payment and other related products throughout the PostShop store network. Customers can purchase foreign currency, loaded for travel multi-currency prepaid Visa cards, travel insurance, put their mail on hold and now purchase a TravelSIM.
