Stuff.co.nz today announces the availability of its new mobile app ‘Rugby Heaven Rugby World Cup 2011’ to bring you the latest coverage of the tournament.

Whether people are in the pub or watching the game from their couch they will have free access to:
• Live game commentary
• Fan chat during games
• Player line-ups
• Photos and video from the games, training, and all the action during the week.
• Points tables
• Form guides
• Head to head - how the teams have rated in previous clashes
• Game statistics
• Game alerts- set up push alerts to bring the game to you. People can receive game reminders, score updates, match statistics updates and a game summary.
General Manager Digital Media for Fairfax Nigel Tutt is excited about the new app and expects rugby fans to especially enjoy the augmented reality and fan chat features.
“We really wanted to create an app so that people could get all the news and information they need about the tournament in one place, on their mobile. We have a very strong team of journalists and commentators and now all that information can be accessed easily and for free,” he says.
The Rugby Heaven first XV line-up of writers and players includes legends such as David Kirk, Grant Fox, Justin Marshall, John Eales and Frank Bunce so people get the best analysis, from the highest authority.
“Our talented team continue to look for ways to bring compelling, trusted and 100% local content anytime and anywhere. Our Rugby Heaven app has already won numerous industry awards and I think the New Zealand Rugby World Cup fans will get a lot out of this app.”
The app is available free to download now in both the Apple store and Android market.
