Forum Next Tuesday to Discuss Improving Online Productivity
Wellington, Thursday, August 25, 2011 –
Wellington's leading IT networking organisation, Unlimited Potential, has teamed up with technology media platform, Geekzone, to hold a forum next Tuesday, August 30, on how telecommunications peering affects online productivity in New Zealand.
"All the buzz at present is around the rollout of fast fibre, but how the Telco networks interact has a huge impact on web speed and consequently business productivity", says Unlimited Potential chairperson, Paul Spence. "We think it's time to re-frame the debate in light of the planned fibre deployment and developments happening with new players such as Pacific Fibre entering the fray."
Internet NZ CEO, Vikram Kumar, will open the forum, which includes speakers such as Geekzone Founder, Mauricio Freitas, and Scoop Media General Manager, Alastair Thompson.
Freitas and Thompson operate two of New Zealand's most popular independently-owned online media sites.
The forum will be held on Tuesday, August 30 at 5.30pm at Deloitte NZ, Level 16, 10 Brandon Street, Wellington. Registration information is available on the Unlimited Potential website:
