New Zealand divided over CANdidates
The voting is amping up in the country’s most trusted election Wattie’s The Verdict. BeaNZ has taken a lead in the polls, and Wattie’s Spaghetti has taken a sharp slide to second place.
Earlier today, the BeaNZ camp released a statement, expressing their elation with Kiwis’ support.
“We’ll be upping the ante from here on in. We know that the days of Spaghetti have BEAN and gone! Our campaign has more fibre, more energy, and it’s obviously just more Kiwi,” it read.
BeaNZ went on to urge fans to visit the polls and pledge their loyalty to the obvious winner.
Both Spaghetti and BeaNZ fans from around the country are expressing their surprise at this slippery attack from BeaNZ, stealing the lead from Wattie’s Spaghetti.
One political commentator said that the move could be a lesson for politicians for the upcoming election.
“BeaNZ may not be the flashiest candidate with the most vocal supporters, but it’s proven that an underdog with a bit of fibre can win on the day,” they said.
When questioned on how BeaNZ intended to maintain their lead, the BeaNZ camp said that unlike Spaghetti, whose policies are somewhat limp, BeaNZ has the backbone and solid consistency to fulfil its promises to Kiwis.
The Spaghetti camp expressed their curiosity at the results, as on their Facebook page, supporters have been active and passionate about Spaghetti’s policies.
“We at Wattie’s Spaghetti know what New Zealand wants. Our policies are fun, happy, and are full of substance, a rich, red, saucy substance. We have a mass of overjoyed followers, and we know they will stay loyal,” they said in a statement released earlier today.
One Spaghetti supporter described her passion with a quote from Tina Turner, “[Wattie’s Spaghetti is] simply the best, better than all the rest.”
Spaghetti is also calling all its fans to visit and cast their vote now.
