High profile appointment for Fastway Post New Zealand
Fastway Post New Zealand’s (FWP) appointment of Jason Windhager as Company Director heralds a new focus and direction
for the company’s postal operation.
FWP is part of the Fastway Courier Group of companies, a privately owned New Zealand company, established in Napier in
1983, with operations in nine countries and a network turnover in excess of $455 million.
Group Managing Director, Brem Ellingham, says “Jason’s extensive experience in business refinement and growth will make
him a key asset as the company seeks to drive the postal sector of the business forward.”
“Jason has a strong base in change management and growth and his appointment will send a message to other operators, and
hopefully to our present and prospective customers that Fastway Post is committed to the long-term future of both the
company and the industry.”
Windhager’s background includes a number of challenging change management positions. He spent two years on the
restructure of a significant privately-owned business in the primary sector and was instrumental in turning the results
of an investment company from a $15 million loss to a $9 million profit over three years.
“Jason is incredibly focused and his solid combination of skills and experience, mixed with a hands on approach, has
delivered results that speak for themselves,” says Ellingham.
“I know he will bring the same dedication and passion to his role as director of Fastway Post, and I’m looking forward
to seeing the successes that will inevitably follow.”
Windhager has spent time in sales and general management, owning, operating and investing in a number of businesses
across a variety of industries and sectors. He remains active in an export-focused manufacturing company, and also
remains a director of a successful privately held investment company.
He holds an MBA from the University of Waikato.
FWP was one of the first companies to register as an alternative postal operator when the industry was deregulated in
1998, commencing operations in August of that year. It has since developed a retail network of more than 180 stores,
supplying postal and Courier product throughout New Zealand.
