Top concierge appointment marks Millbrook’s commitment to guest experience
Queenstown’s award-winning five-star Millbrook Resort has welcomed one of New Zealand’s finest hotel concierges to its staff as it reinforces its commitment to the highest possible guest experience.
Daniel Marsh, (35) a member of the prestigious Hotel Concierge Society Les Clefs d'Or New Zealand, brings more than 16 years’ industry experience to the Chief Concierge position.
Welcoming Mr Marsh to the team, hotel manager Brian Howie said the five-star resort was committed to enhancing the experience for every guest at the resort.
“For Millbrook, this appointment is about providing our guests with the services of an outstanding concierge who is one of only four in Queenstown to be part of the elite Les Clefs d’Or,” said Mr Howie.
Mr Marsh said the role of Chief Concierge at the luxury resort was a coveted one.
“Millbrook is a world class resort in a world class region. I feel privileged to join the team. Les Clefs d’Or concierges are renowned for going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure their guests are looked after, and it’s my role to deliver Millbrook guests the very best Queenstown experience they could possibly have,” he said.
“There are well over a hundred ways to make your heart beat faster in Queenstown and I love the challenge of catering personal experiences for all our guests.”
Mr Marsh has been a member of the Hotel Concierge Society Les Clefs d'Or New Zealand since 1996 and was honoured with the distinction as the youngest member in Australasia to earn his ‘golden keys’ or ‘clefs d’or’.
His passion for food and wine, and commitment to his industry, has led him to gain chef qualifications and basic sommelier’s certificate during the course of his career.
Les Clefs d’Or international motto of ‘In Service Through Friendship’ reflects the relationships that these dedicated concierges build through their network of friends, contacts and associates to ensure guests receive the highest possible standards of service.
Starting out in hospitality as a Bell Boy with The Regent Hotel in Auckland, Mr Marsh worked his way up to Chief Concierge at The Stamford Plaza Hotel Auckland where he was based for the last three and a half years.
Career highlights for Mr Marsh have been looking after some of the world’s greatest dignitaries and entertainers, with duties at CHOGM and APEC meetings among his favourites.
Mr Marsh has been in Auckland this past week at the Les Clefs d'Or AGM where he was appointed Public Relations Manager for the prestigious organisation.
