Acronis: ANZ Appoints Second Business Development Manager to Take Advantage of Increased Market Opportunities
SYDNEY, 2 August 2011 - Acronis, a leading provider of easy-to-use disaster recovery and data protection solutions for physical, virtual and cloud
environments, today announced the appointment of Mark Weinstein to the newly created position of Southern Region
Business Development Manager.
Weinstein's role is to capture the increasing interest in the Acronis product range, particularly in the SME
marketplace, and work closely with his territory's partners and sales teams to identify opportunities, manage sales
campaigns and promotions, and close new business.
His arrival will enhance service capacity levels to Acronis channel partners across Australia and New Zealand, whose
numbers have increased significantly in the past two years.
From a 12 year career in sales and account management in South Africa, Weinstein joined ASI Solutions as Corporate Sales
Manager on his arrival in Australia in 2009. He was most recently Business Development Manager at Brennan IT.
He will share regional responsibilities with Chris Braithwaite who joined the company in late 2010 to drive sales across
the region. The territory split will see Mark's Southern Region as south of Sydney Harbour NSW, Victoria, SA, WA and New
Zealand. Chris' Northern Region is north of Sydney Harbour NSW, ACT and Queensland.
Karl Sice, General Manager, Pacific at Acronis said: "We see this move as both an investment to grow the business and
also a resource to support the considerable levels of enquiry resulting from the recent announcement of Acronis Backup & Recovery(r) 11."
