Queenstown’s award-winning Rees Hotel and Luxury Apartments continues its impressive performance record by reaching the final nominations in the ‘New Zealand Hotel’ category for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence in the prestigious industry awards championed by ‘HM - Hotel & Accommodation Management’ Magazine.
With over 1600 entries across 48 categories this year, all qualifying candidates went through a rigorous selection process by a judging panel that was over 50 strong and comprised of key clients, respected travel writers and eminent industry experts.Final winners will be announced in early September.

accommodation trade publication HM is in its fourteenth year
and is distributed to all major 3 to 5-star properties
across the Australasia-South Pacific region and selected
expatriate General Managers
internationally.

the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) and the Hotel Motel
Accommodation Association of Australia (HMAA), the New
Zealand Hotel Council (NZHC) and the Fiji Hotels Association
(FHA), HM is highly regarded and influential well beyond
industry circles.
The 2011 HM Awards gala presentation dinner has hosted over 3500 distinguished guests since its inception and takes place on September 2nd at Sydney’s Doltone House where winners will be announced along with Hall of Fame inductees.
Achieving a nomination for excellence is another notch in a string of successes for The Rees Hotel this year including earning an international Hotel Club award win for their ‘Chic’ Interior and Bespoke Furnishings (designed by Arrowtown designer, Ed Cruikshank) and pioneering the ‘Flavors of New Zealand’ event at New York's James Beard House, founders of the “Oscars of the food world” according to Time Magazine.
