Air New Zealand seeks budding young CEOs
Air New Zealand is on the hunt for the country’s
most promising young leaders to take part in its annual
CEO for the Day programme.
Ten senior high school students will be chosen to join the airline’s award-winning CEO Rob Fyfe and his executive team for an inspirational day behind the scenes at the national carrier.
The inaugural CEO for the Day in 2010 was hugely successful with a group of potential high-flying executives from around the country taking part and the airline expects this year’s programme to be just as popular.
“As a major New Zealand company it’s important that we play a role in fostering our next generation of leaders,” says Fyfe.
“It’s a real privilege for me to spend some time with these students and give them a taste of the aviation industry and what it’s like to lead a dynamic and distinctly Kiwi airline.”
Students chosen will take part in a range of exciting activities including a tour of the airline’s engineering base, an interactive strategy session, a sneak peak at the innovations being created in the design lab and a sponsorship talk with some of the airline’s celebrity partners.
Entries for CEO for the Day are being accepted now. To enter, students need to visit www.airnz.co.nz/ceo-for-the-day and tell the airline how they would make a difference if they were CEO of Air New Zealand for a day. Entries close 5pm, Monday 18 July. Winners will be announced in late July, prior to the August event. Full competition terms and conditions are also available on the website.
