Update on Jetstar Australian & New Zealand Services: Puyehue-Cordon Caulle Volcano

MELBOURNE, Australia, June 23 /Medianet International-AsiaNet/ --

Due to the ongoing impacts of the volcanic ash cloud, Jetstar advises that its New Zealand services, both domestic and Trans Tasman will be cancelled for the rest of today, June 23.

Flights to and from Launceston, remain cancelled until approximately 1200 today AEST, 23 June.

Flights to and from Hobart, remain cancelled until approximately 1700 today AEST, 23 June.

A full list of cancelled services for 23 June will be listed on Jetstar.com shortly.

Jetstar is closely monitoring the ash cloud in conjunction with the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre and the Bureau of Meteorology. We continue to assess the situation and will provide a further update later today.

Jetstar is pleased to advise that services to and from Melbourne, Avalon, Sydney, Adelaide and Newcastle will operate to schedule today, with the exception of services to and from Tasmania and Trans Tasman flights as detailed above.

All other Australian domestic services will operate to schedule.

Jetstar will be proactively contacting customers affected by cancelled flights via SMS or telephone.
