Update on Jetstar Australian & New Zealand Services: Puyehue-Cordon Caulle Volcano

MELBOURNE, Australia, June 22 /Medianet International-AsiaNet/ --

Updated at 1800 AEST / 2000 NZ

Due to the ongoing impacts of the volcanic ash cloud, Jetstar advises that its services to and from Tasmania, will be cancelled until approximately 10am today AEST, June 23.

All New Zealand flights both domestic and Trans Tasman will be cancelled until approximately 12pm (NZ local time), June 23.

A full list of cancelled services for 23 June will be listed on Jetstar.com shortly.

Jetstar is closely monitoring the ash cloud, in conjunction with the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre and the Bureau of Meteorology. A further update will be provided tomorrow morning.

Jetstar is pleased to advise that services to and from Melbourne, Avalon, Sydney, Adelaide and Newcastle will operate to schedule tomorrow, with the exception of services to and from Tasmania and Trans Tasman flights as listed above.

All other Australian domestic services will operate to schedule.

Jetstar will be proactively contacting customers affected by cancelled flights via SMS or telephone.
