Linden Leaves Announces Post-Earthquake Event Concept

Linden Leaves Announces Sponsorship of a New Post Earthquake Event Concept for Christchurch Business People.

New Zealand natural skincare brand Linden Leaves announced today its sponsorship of a new event concept designed by 360 Degree Events and Flair Image called “Corporate Style Club”.

The event has been designed in response to the loss of both the Ellerslie Flower Show and all Rugby World Cup events for 2011 due to the recent series of earthquakes that have dispossessed so many people and businesses of their buildings and stability.

Targeted at Christchurch corporate people dealing with the ongoing pressure of the past nine months of seismic activity, the event aims to provide a fun, fashion-focused evening where guests can relax and network in a positive, future-focused atmosphere.

Hundreds of local Christchurch businesses face severe financial and logistical pressures due to the ongoing Earthquake related issues in the region which has increased stress levels and have left many people struggling with depression and anxiety.

Linden Leaves founder, Brigit Blair, believes that supporting events such as the newly created “Corporate Style Club” is a positive, active way the brand she founded in Christchurch 16 years ago can be true to its philosophy of promoting wellness and balance. Blair has been invited to speak at the event and will attend with several Christchurch based Linden Leaves staff. “We can all do with a bit of fun and positivity at the moment. The ongoing strain is definitely taking its toll on everyone’s general state of mind” says Blair.

The launch event will take place this Friday at Elevate Bar in Colombo Street. Tickets are available online at www.360de.co.nz and the first event will be limited to 100 people. Sponsors and supporters include renowned fashion labels Veronika Maine, Cue, Jane Daniels, Andrea Moore, Working Style, Columbus & Ware and Overland, who have joined in creating a fun catwalk show for the evening event.

With near 1000 buildings slated for demolition, finding a venue in Christchurch these days is not the easiest task. Fortunately the organisers have secured the private room at Elevate on Colombo Street, a venue still operating and fully functional.

This example of Christchurch business community taking positive, practical steps to support local people is typical of the Cantabrian mentality who remain focused on rebuilding their future despite the strain of the recent times.
