West Coast Farmers Fly Like Royalty To Field Days
16 June 2011, Wellington
Vincent Aviation used the same aircraft which recently flew VIP's including Prince William, to fly passengers from Greymouth to Hamilton for the New Zealand National Agricultural Fielddays yesterday on Wednesday 15 June. The 38 passengers flew direct to Hamilton on a DASH 8. Flight time is one hour forty minutes one way direct and passengers arrived back down to Greymouth before 8.40pm with the air charter.
Peter Vincent the captain of the aircraft and company CEO said, "We wanted to give people from the West Coast the chance to get to Hamilton without being away for too long. The alternative on scheduled flights would have meant travel time of more than four hours each way which is too long for most people to be away from their farms and businesses." Having grown up in Canterbury Peter has spent the last twenty years building a successful Aviation company in Wellington.
Vincent Aviation is New Zealand's most successful air charter company. With a fleet of 13 aircraft ranging from 5 passenger light jets to the 40 passenger DASH 8 Turboprop which has recently flown passengers in and out of regional airports such as Invercargill and Oamaru. Some of these aircraft are based in Darwin in Australia's Northern Territories where the company provides services mainly to the Mining and Oil Sectors.
