Y&R has announced the appointment of Josh Moore as Executive Creative Director. Josh is a kiwi who has been working in Sydney for the last five years as ECD and Partner in US Sydney the startup agency for the media shop Razor. That agency has gone from 5 people to 45 in four years under his stewardship.

Josh is rated number six CD in Australia by Campaign Brief Magazine. His work has been recognised at all major shows including Cannes, One Show, D&AD, NYC, Effies, Caples, Young Guns and AXIS.

His work includes Hallensteins Glassons, Nestle, Bank Direct, BMW, Sony, Toyota, Vodafone, Suncorp, Genesis Energy, Stella Artois, Subaru, EA Games, Fairfax Media, SBS and Nike.

Before leaving NZ for Sydney, Josh worked at Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis Mojo, Lowe and Generator.
“I’m thrilled we’ve lured Josh back to NZ to join our team. He’ll be working alongside me, Jason Wells (Ideas Director), Janisa Parag (Planner) and Nigel Hammersely (Digital Director) and Barry Williamson (Media Director)”, said Y&R CEO Jon Ramage.

“He’s ambitious for the agency and chomping at the bit to get stuck into ideas. We’re all looking forward to him arriving.”, he added.

“I’m stoked to be heading back to NZ and working with the team at Y&R, they have some great talent, fantastic clients and great creative opportunities.” said Josh. “And of course I’ll be just in time for the Rugby World Cup!”, he added.

Josh will be based in Auckland with national responsibilities. He starts at Y&R on 5 September.
