Retailers Move To Avoid Second Phase Of Disconnections
The staged process of disconnecting out-dated EFTPOS terminals that began last Wednesday has prompted over 200 retailers to upgrade their technology in advance of the second phase of disconnections. This second phase is scheduled to begin today, affecting a cross-section of retailers around the country.
Paymark Head of Sales and Marketing, Paul Whiston, says the company is pleased that retailers are being pro-active in ensuring that their businesses are not left without key EFTPOS facilities.
“The disconnection process has gone fairly smoothly so far. Over the last week, our helpdesk and partners have been busy assisting over 200 retailers with their upgrade plans and we’re extremely pleased that many of those ‘at-risk’ of being disconnected are taking charge and getting compliant equipment,” says Whiston.
Retailers who wish to schedule an upgrade, or who are disconnected should contact either Paymark on 0800 800 996 or their terminal provider.
