New VERSA S2 Offers SMEs the Cloud in a Box
Managed Hosting Services Provider, ICONZ, has launched a new addition to its VERSA suite of cloud computing services
designed to deliver a wider range of cloud server options and a unique ability to deploy cloud servers across four
geographically independent CloudCENTRES in the Asia-Pacific region.
“VERSA S2 has everything you need to have a cloud computing product without the complexity,” says ICONZ chief executive,
Sean McDonald. “It’s a cloud in a box and in most cases costs significantly less than other offerings.”
VERSA S2 delivers the benefits of one cloud computing provider, two disk choices, three CPU and operating system
options, four international CloudCENTRES in Auckland, Sydney, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, plus built-in firewalls and
back up.
“The positioning of four international CloudCENTRES in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and Malaysia, each replicating
the VERSA S2 build, is extremely useful for exporters and offshore manufacturers as businesses can locate their IT
infrastructure closer to the markets where they operate,” Mr McDonald said. “This has the additional benefits of
reducing latency of international data traffic and reducing the cost of international traffic.”
The VERSA S2 cloud platform is an advanced technological build, designed and developed using customer insights, to make
it a real enabler for start-ups, SMEs and internationally diverse businesses. The choice of two disk types - SAS and
SATA –provides opportunity for increased cost efficiencies.
VERSA S2 also includes standard cloud features of flexibility, scalability and paying for what you use. Built in
seven-day back-up and firewall are ideal for smaller businesses, assuring security and safety while eliminating
complexity for SMEs.
