More kiwi tradesmen sought to work in France
Pauline Hampshire has lived in France for 20 years and had some pretty negative experiences with French tradesmen. So
last year, when she wanted to completely renovate her 3 storey shell of a village house in Chevreuse, near Paris, she
sought out Kiwi tradesmen to help, listing her job on Builderscrack.co.nz to find tradesmen to quote.
Her job generated huge interest, with over 100 tradespeople from all over NZ responding. She selected Adrian Walker, a
builder and plumber from Wellington, in December. Adrian and his team of two (John a Master Builder with 40 years
experience and Karl an 18 year old apprentice) had a great time in France, going to All Blacks games, participating in
village sports, and traveling, in addition to working hard. Pauline was not disappointed with her decision to seek out
kiwi tradesmen, with Adrian and his team making great progress last summer including rebuilding 3 floors, with the top
floor almost completed, and completely rewiring and plumbing the building.
Pauline is looking for another adventurous kiwi tradesman to help her get closer to finishing the job this summer.
Adrian’s partner is now pregnant, so he can’t get back to France. There is a lot to do, and they are looking for an all
rounder, with a range of plumbing, tiling, building and handyman jobs to be completed. Accommodation will be provided.
