Major Retailer Mitre 10 Sponsors Auckland North Business Award

Major retailer Mitre 10, which has its support centre based on the North Shore, has got on board as a sponsor of the Westpac Auckland North Business Awards.

For the past 14 years, the awards (previously the Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Awards) have showcased local business successes “over the bridge”.

This year, for the first time Mitre 10 is sponsoring the Excellence in Service Delivery Award which recognises companies dedicated to outstanding service.

“As an iconic Kiwi retailer, we are extremely proud to support the Westpac Auckland North Business Awards,” says Mitre 10 chief executive John Hartmann.

“The Mitre 10 Excellence in Service Delivery Award will recognise a business that shows consistent dedication to superlative service and demonstrates that commitment through its service policy and staff training.

“As a large New Zealand retail employer with stores in more than 160 communities nationwide, customer service is paramount to our business too and plays a vital role in the success of our Mitre 10 stores,” says Hartmann.

“Furthermore, with our support office based on the North Shore, there’s a real connection between Mitre 10 and local businesses so we’re delighted to be sponsoring this category.”

Entries for the Westpac Auckland North Business Awards close on 2 June, with the winners announced at a gala dinner on 2 September. For more information, visit www.ens.org.nz/awards
