SkyCity Auckland Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer

SKYCITY Entertainment Group (SKYCITY) has announced the appointment of Stuart Wing to the role of Chief Operating Officer, Auckland. Mr Wing is responsible for the operations of the entire Auckland property, including gaming, restaurants and bars, hotels and facilities.

SKYCITY Chief Executive Officer, Nigel Morrison says Stuart will add a wealth of experience to the strong SKYCITY Auckland team.

“Stuart is very experienced as a senior executive, with over 15 years in the casino and hotel industry and I am delighted that he has decided and excited that he has chosen to join SKCYITY.

“Stuart shares our passion for entertainment and I am sure he will build on the strong culture of customer service that exists at SKYCITY Auckland. This role will play a key part in ensuring we stay ahead of the game and continue to deliver unique experiences to our customers.”

Mr Wing is the former Managing Director of Tabcorp’s Jupiters Hotel and Casino on Australia’s Gold Coast. He was part of the Australian casino group Tabcorp for 15 years and held several positions from Marketing Manager in Gaming, to a senior executive in the Casino division, and General Manager of Jupiters in Townsville.

Morrison says Mr Wing’s appointment coincides with an important and exciting year for SKYCITY Auckland.

“We have recently started some major developments around our property that will be ready in time for Rugby World Cup 2011, including new restaurants, bars and International gaming areas. Stuart’s knowledge and experience will be hugely valuable in this process and its implementation.”

Mr Wing joined SKYCITY Auckland as Chief Operating Officer at the end of March.
