Bayfair Shopping Centre Searches for its Faces of Fashion

With the nip of winter in the air and cooler weather no longer a distant prospect, Bayfair Shopping Centre is celebrating the change of season with the launch of a search to find its new faces of fashion.

Bayfair has set the challenge of finding two women representing two age groups (18 to 35 years, and 36 years and over) to become the faces of the Winter 2011 campaign and star in the centre’s first women’s fashion television commercial.

“We continue to develop new ways of enhancing the in-centre experience,” says Bayfair marketing manager Nina Rivett. “The search to find the centre’s faces of fashion provides an excellent opportunity to engage our shoppers and celebrate the fact that it is so easy to transform your wardrobe or look, in one shopping trip to Bayfair. The campaign is about finding two fashion-savvy locals who can inspire others and who our shoppers can relate to.”

To enter, applicants can pick up an entry form from participating retailers or the Bayfair Information Desk located outside Kmart, fill it in and return it to the Information Desk together with a recent photograph of themselves. Alternatively, applicants can visit www.bayfair.co.nz to upload a video of their application or a photo, and complete the online entry form.

In both forms of entry, applicants must state why they want to be one of Bayfair’s faces of fashion. Entries close Saturday 14 May.

Ten finalists from each age group will be selected to attend an informal and private audition at Bayfair on Sunday 22 May. Then, a panel of judges will name two winners.

The two fabulous and unforgettable winners will take part in the filming of the Bayfair Winter 2011 fashion television commercial on Tuesday 7 June. In addition to sharing snippets of their ultimate pamper day in front of the camera, the winners will receive a top-to-toe makeover including facial cosmetics, manicure, hair styling session and two outfits selected by Bayfair’s retail professionals to complete their new look.
