Average Weekly Rent Eases By $13

The average rent in Auckland eased by $13 a week during April compared to March, with the average weekly rent reaching $421.

“The decline from March’s all time high of $434 was anticipated, as demand for property normally quietens in April,” said Peter Thompson, Managing Director of Barfoot & Thompson.

“April’s average weekly rent was achieved across 674 new property rentals.

“At $421, April’s average weekly rent is $23 higher than it was 12 months ago.”
