Yealands Estate Branches Out To The Wine Room

Yealands Estate Branches Out To The Wine Room

Yealands will officially launch its presence on the Northern side of Blenheim on Wednesday 20 April, during Annies Marlborough week-long celebration of 25 years in business.

The Yealands wines are now available at The Wine Room next to Annies fruit leather shop and cafe at the Annies Marlborough complex on Grove Road, 3 kms North of Blenheim, alongside Annies own wine brand St Lukes.

Wednesday 20 April, termed “Yealands Wines Day” features complimentary tastings of the full Yealands range and exclusive offers including a free tablet of Yealands Estate chocolate with every purchase of any two Yealands Estate wines. Brydie Morrison from Yealands Estate will be at The Wine Room to chat about the wines.

“We are thrilled to be involved with such an innovative company like Annies,” says Ms Morrison. “Annies reduces its impact on the environment, using environmentally friendly production methods, minimising the use of chemicals, preservatives strong focus on being sustainable, providing synergy with our business.”

Graeme Giles and Peter Yealands go back a long way. They both grew up in Grovetown and have been heavily involved in rural industries in Marlborough over the years. Mr Giles says the two men have often “chewed the cud” over rural issues, and says it’s great to be supporting Yealands.

St Lukes Wines was named after the local church in Spring Creek, where Graeme’s family regularly attended. The Wine Room at Annies features a replica of this church.

All events of the week-long celebrations are listed on www.annies.co.nz and on Annies Marlborough facebook page.
