Further Success for Proactive Accountants with “The Edge”
More than 70 North Shore business owners took advantage of complimentary tickets to Tuesday the 5th of Aprils hard-hitting “Edge” event at the Bruce Mason Centre.
The Edge was co-hosted by business experts, 10X North Shore, and proactive local accounting firm RES Group in a bid to help even more business owners take control and transform their businesses and lives.
Director of 10X North Shore, Butch Mawdsley, brought the nationally-renowned Edge event back to the North Shore for a third time after the overwhelming positive feedback received from the previous events. Butch, who provided complimentary tickets to members of the business community, said that this Edge was even more successful than the previous.
Local business owner, Rebecca Snow, had this to say: “By attending the 10X ‘Edge’ event, its made me realise my business is bigger than just me – I CAN grow my business and can lead in my market”.
Butch, who is also director of leading North Shore accounting firm, Res Group, said that while he was thrilled at the positive response to the Edge, the success of the event also pointed to a more serious issue – that of business owners struggling to deal with the crippling cashflow and revenue challenges that threaten their business. “Cashflow and sales represent the most problematic areas for business in New Zealand at the moment,” said Butch. “The aim of this event was to help business owners tackle these issues head-on, and move towards the big-picture goals of growth and increased profits, which many attendees have said that are now committed to doing.”
Leading business coach and nationally-renowned speaker, Dean Marinac, who was specially flown in to speak at the event, commended Butch on being proactive in helping his clients improve and grow their business. “It is clear that many business owners need this type of assistance, and seek it from sources that they trust to know their business. As accountants are more familiar with their clients’ business than anyone, it’s great to see an accounting firm who have recognised this, and are dedicated to positively impacting on their clients numbers, rather than merely reporting them.”
