New partner cements PwC’s expertise
in the Security
and Technology sectors
PwC
welcomes the admission of Colin Slater as Security and
Technology Partner to the New Zealand firm.
Colin has more than 15 years of
experience in IT security and consulting. From a background
of developing encryption and real-time software in the
marine surveying industry, Colin has worked in diverse areas
of systems development and consulting including holding
senior positions in the National Bank, Sytec, the Risk
Advisory Group and PwC.
PwC’s Chief
Executive Officer, Bruce Hassall says, “It’s a case of
coming home for Colin and we are delighted he has decided to
re-join the firm. Colin left PwC eight years ago to
establish Securify NZ Ltd and he quickly became a leading
provider of specialist IT security and risk-management
services. Colin brings that knowledge and experience back
with him to the firm and it means PwC can fulfil its focus
on growing our security and technology capabilities.”
New Security and Technology partner, Colin Slater says, “I am excited about this next stage of my professional career and development. Securify NZ Ltd will merge with PwC taking the firm into a new realm of providing not only risk and assurance services but also the practical and proven skills to design, QA and deploy security, infrastructure and applications in a safe and technology-agnostic way.”
Colin’s return to PwC also means the Securify team will work with New Zealand’s leading professional services firm as technical security specialists, based in Wellington.
Bruce Hassall says, “Add the expertise of
Colin and his team to our already talented pool of people at
PwC and we are now well positioned to ensure our clients are
ahead of the game and no longer have to worry about costly
IT security
breaches.”
