Regional Tourism Organisations appoint full time CEO

Published: Thu 3 Mar 2011 12:35 PM
Regional Tourism Organisations New Zealand (RTONZ) has announced the appointment of part time Executive Officer, Charlie Ives, to a full time role.
“Over the last 3 years Charlie has been part of the RTONZ, Travel Agents Association (TAANZ) & Inbound Tour Operators Council (ITOC) secretariat with his time being spread between the 3 organisations,” said RTONZ Chair Don Gunn.
“During this period he has brought significant value to regional tourism, and the initiatives he has developed makes it the right decision to step the role to full time.”
“We are pleased that Charlie has accepted the position. He will significantly build on the great work he and the RTONZ team has done over the period, and now has the opportunity to work even closer with regional tourism organisations and other stakeholders, to assist them in growing their capabilities, as well as representing them nationally,” said Mr Gunn.
RTONZ will continue to work closely with ITOC and TAANZ as they also transition to full time executives.
