Telstraclear donating 100,000 wristbands

Telstraclear is today donating 100,000 wristbands – with more to come – to support the people of Christchurch with the restoration of their city.

Bands 4 Hope – red and black wristbands – will be available at outlets around the country, as well as online.

All monies raised from the sale of the bands, which cost $5 each, will be donated to Christchurch Mayor Bob Parker’s Mayoral Fund.

Allan Freeth, CEO of TelstraClear says: “Along with thousands of others around the country, TelstraClear has strong links with Christchurch. The Government has promised a new city will rise from the rubble. These wristbands are a visible way of ensuring Kiwis from all over New Zealand – and the world – can play a part in that.

“The wristbands are being produced as we speak and will be available in the next couple of days. More information will be available within the hour at:

“In times of adversity, Kiwis are renowned for coming together and supporting each other. These wristbands provide tangible proof of our ability to do that.”

“It would be fantastic to see Kiwis everywhere wearing one of these bands and adding their voice to this universal message of hope for Christchurch.”
