Harbour Asset Management appoints new Investment Analyst

Wellington fund manager Harbour Asset Management (Harbour) today announced the appointment of Kate Pickering as an assistant Investment analyst.

Harbour’s managing director Andrew Bascand said, “We are excited about the skills Kate brings in supporting our investment research and look forward to her developing into a leading investment talent, based in the New Zealand market."

Prior to joining Harbour, Kate was employed by AXA Global Investors as a Client Relations Manager for the institutional team, where she was the first point of contact for institutional clients and asset consultants. As well as being responsible for the development and efficacy of internal processes and reporting, Kate provided research support and conducted data analysis.

She began her career in financial markets in 2006, when she worked in a number of advisory and analytical roles for Suncorp Wealth Management.

Educated in Wellington, Kate has a Masters of Applied Finance and a BCA (Money and Finance) from Victoria University of Wellington. She is an Affiliate of FINSIA (the Financial Services Institute of Australasia) and a member of the Women in Super, a network of women associated with the superannuation industry in New Zealand.

"Kate’s appointment is consistent with Harbour's vision of investing in research to provide excellent returns for clients," Andrew Bascand said.
